At Peoples we offer internships to students during the summer. What our interns can expect:
- Work approximately 30 hours per week
- Start late May/early June through middle of August
- Gain experience in many different departments: Billing, I&R, Facilities (both OSP and local) and Construction.
Lauren went on to become a full-time Peoples employee.
But what would I be doing…
Examples of projects interns have worked:
- Working with an I&R technician to install fiber in a customer’s home
- Working on, and maintaining, facility HVAC systems
- Scanning bad debt/collection folders so that the information could be retrieved electronically
- Working wreckouts of old copper pedestals that were no longer needed
- Assisting in copper and fiber cuts to the network
